I presume this was posted in response to my comment on the LANC system.  I believe it has merits,
but from purely a personal standpoint I won't use one.  I don't like the fact that one has to have this
dangling device (the LANC).  Over the years I've come to appreciate carrying fewer devices and reaping
the benefits of more compact and lightweight setups.

Mostly, however, I'm not a fan of Sony digicams. They are the best sellers, but not the best performers.
Some of their models force the user to buy Sony's exclusive memory cards (called "memory sticks") that
can't be used with my preferred cameras.

I resent the need for yet another kind of memory card.  I use CFs and SDs, and that's one too many
memory formats

BTW, I never said that the LANC was dreadful, only that I won't use one.  It's a matter of personal taste,
which I respect in everyone.

What about the picture?  It's competent, although not very interesting.  The fountain is smack in the middle,
so in effect, we're told exactly where to look.  I especially like pictures, stereo or otherwise that invite us to
explore the entire frame.  But this one practically commands that our eyes look straight ahead!  Don't
deviate, don't look around, don't discover something new.  Yawn!!!!

Made with a dreadful for Marshall LANC system. Marshall, it's not a
matter of shoot/not shoot but rather if or how to display it.
