The overcast, clouds, lightning, and some lighting effects were digitally added via Photoshop.  Again, I incorporated the use of some Photoshop paint brushes, and a little cloning.
 
Cha cha, Pentax DSLR K10D, SPM, Photoshop, IrfanView.
