Duke I was impressed with the depth, but found the picture to be hazy, any reason why?

This shot was taken from the knobs (hills) north of New Albany, IN looking south across the Ohio River into Louisville, KY. 
Straight line distance to the bridge: 3.5 miles (5.75 km)
To the football stadium (Poppa John's) at upper right: 9.6 miles (15.5 km)
You can't see the river because of the tree line.
The stadium appears closer than six miles from the bridge due to telephoto compression.
The stereo base was about 35 feet (10.7m)
The right/left images were shot about one minute apart.  All moving cars were cloned from one image to the other.
 
The Google Earth pic attached shows the relative positions.
