They are tearing down the Wayne Dam on the Rouge River in my city to restore the river to full strength and open wildlife along the river. In the early days it was the only source of water for our city, and in the late 1880?s  a dam was built. In the 1930?s our city was hooked up to the Detroit Water System, but the dam was left. It is going to cost over a million dollars to tear it down, in my opinion I think the money could be spent on other things.
