This is a image looking west across the Grand River away from the downtown area and toward the Grand Rapids Public Museum. The river is in the initial planning stages of being restored it to its initial configuration by dam removal, etc., similar to what Larry described in the Wayne, MI area. This is Michigan's largest river. It is about 252 miles long, and empties into Lake Michigan, 25 miles west of Grand Rapids at Grand Haven, MI. Ray |
