Unicorn Lake Hatchery Control
This small building shades a control area below that is connected to the
man-made ponds above on a hill. That is where the two fish hatcheries
reside. The concrete floor is designed in a split level cascade presumably
to make it easier for sorting the fish. There are valves that control the
water from the ponds. I've never seen this done here so I'm trying to
guestimate it's function. It would make a cool 3D image to catch this
process in action.
You may have noticed possibly for the first time that a rain gutter spout
is directing any water into the unit for draining into the river rather than the
land where it would cause erosion.
Due to the high contrast of light and dark in this composition, I hope
you don't have too much harsh ghosting. It looks pretty good on my monitor
(with my glasses), but I'm sure it will be more than average ghosting for you
this time. I actually did reduce the contrast some in PS using the
"Shadows/Highlights..." feature before creating the final anaglyph in
SPM.
