Thanks for your comment Larry.  Here is "the other rose" with the original background shallow DOF.

Brian, I like the yellow rose with the black background, I find the background distracting on the other rose.

Rose 1
 
This was a VERY red rose.  I attempted to change the color via Photoshop to create a friendly color anaglyph.  The background also had a shallow DOF which is not the best conditions for viewing 3D stereo images.  I selected the rose, and inverted the selection, then used a fill layer in PS to change out the background.
