You're correct John.  Just a little north of us (especially NJ) got hammered bad.  I think the eye of the storm went right through them.
 
This was taken through my porch window and you may detect the window glare.  This was still only about half the tree that broke at it's base.  It grazed the house but I believe only caused minor damage.  I see siding (molding) hanging loose and my downspout is jarred away from the house. 
 
I called the Insurance company who took my info but since I'm not one of the folks affected "inside", priority-wise, I'll be at the bottom of the list.  Still waiting for a call back.  My agent said they may call tomorrow.  For now, I left things as I found them, but if the rain stops tomorrow, I may be out there starting to clean up.  I always take my own pictures for insurance reasons.  One time the claims adjuster was so busy, he just used my pictures for the claim.

Sounds like you got the better end of the storm. Also looks like you kept power & web right through too. I suspect Flash is having more difficulty.
