A couple of shots of my tree after a friend cut and split it. He
wanted it for firewood. Locust is very hard wood and will be
great for a fireplace. This pile is what he couldn't carry in his son's
station wagon which by the way had to be jump started when he tried leave.
He came back in a few days in his FED-EX truck and got these remaining
leftovers. While he was there I got permission from my neighbor to cut up
and remove the major portion of a fallen tree he had next to his
house.
I'm scheduled to have a tree service give me an estimate on the portion of
the tree left standing (about 75 ft. tall), as well as another tree I may have
taken down close by which leans toward the house and may have insect
damage. I also want to get some dead limbs removed. Turns out my
deductible of $1000 isn't worth the claim I put in, so I cancelled the insurance
claim. I believe I'll be able to repair the fence and put the gates back
up myself.
