The tunnel is about a mile from here.
The section on the rock face was just the flume, supported on the inside by a ledge blasted out of the rock, and on the outside by vertical supports resting on small niches 20-30 feet below, also blasted out. There were also some suspension cables anchored above in places.
Here?s what it looks like up close. The ledge is about two feet wide. Composite photo, and yes, I need to go back and get better shots....
There?s a section of it between the distant view and here that I can?t get across.

But we are not looking at the tunnel. Was this a road? Too small to figure out.
