On this particular Sunday an entertainment troupe
performed on-stage. One of the acts during this recreation of a Vaudeville
show
was this amazing performance by a duo, emulating the
classic "Who's on First?" skit by Abbott and Costello. That routine,
based
on American baseball is today regarded as one of the
great comedy sketches of all-time.
Abbott and Costello were great favorites mostly during
the 1940's-50's, appearing on stage, radio, television and in the movies. In the
later
years of his life, Lou Costello lent his talents to
drama, and his efforts were widely acclaimed.
