Fog. That's something not seen very often during
winters in the Catskill Mountains. That's probably because warm
southerly
winds don't get up this far enough to coax misty
moisture from the fallen snow. But on those uncommon occasions, the
entire
landscape is covered by an eerie shroud that invites
one to stay inside, rather than risk the consequences of the open
road.
I chose to play it safe by going no further than my own
home environs.
Tip: When shooting in fog it's probably best to
avoid using flash, in that the strong light source bounces off the misty
droplets, causing
unwanted reflections and rivalries.
I wonder if the driver was able to see me and my flash
(yes, I did use flash) as his car approached and passed me on Route
52.
