We visited the world famous San Diego Zoo, and made extra effort to see the baby Panda. He is about 6 months old and was born at the zoo. So far, he has done very well, unlike many other baby Pandas which were born in captivity. We were very fortunate to see him, as they only show him 3 hours per day, 3 days per week. They let him rest for the remainder of the time. I took several shots with a Nikon D7000 and with a Fuji W3. Although the W3 shots came out ok, I just could not get a good angle, and the images were somewhat flat in depth. The attached image is a 2D taken with the Nikon. A cha cha was just not possible, since this critter is pretty active. Since this is a 3D group, I made a 3D presentation of a 2D image in order to fulfill the 3D image requirements. I am not sure if this is proper, but if not, I guess that it wouldn't be the
first time that I have been improper. None the less, I really wanted to share a photo of the Panda with the group. He is really very special. I used a 18-200mm lens, probable shot at close to or at 200mm. The logo was lifted from the zoo map. Used SPM and PS CS6 to make this image. Ray |
