Hi Larry,
I saw Marshall's request to help out with the "Choir" image and since you made your stereo pair available and I had some spare time... I used PS and SPM to give it a go as well.
I used PS to select the areas where there was apparent lens glare. I "feathered" the selections at about 60 pixels and basically used a combination of brightness and contrast adjustments to try and bring the areas back to the same levels as the rest of the image. I used the "Burn" and "Dodge" tools on some areas just to try and match the chips a little closer.
I also found a couple of spots at the
bottom of one chip that needed adjustment. One was a spot on the left side of one chip that had a little R/R from light reflections being different off the base of the statue and cloned that with SPM to reduce the R/R.
I used IrfanView for the final save but made last second adjustments to reduce the greenish colors a bit. (Using IrfanView for this is a regular routine of mine but could have also been done in PS or other editor).
The end result is not "perfect" of course, but I don't think it's too bad.
(This should not deter anyone else from their efforts I hope).
Cheers,
Brian

Nice
job on this one Larry.
When exploring old cemeteries I find the majority of statues and monuments
are no longer completely intact.
Cheers,
Brian
