Here?s another recreation of a shot by Alfred A Hart in the 1860?s. Due to
the volume of snowfall and problems with avalanches, the railroad was forces to
build snowsheds over the tracks. Originally, they were built of wood, but the
steam engines often started fires in them. The modern version in this shot is
concrete.
This is a W3 view. The clouds were moving so fast that the chacha?s with
the Nikon had too many light variations and just didn?t work.
