Now we continue with the
"Bahamas Vacation" series.
BAHAMIAN SURFSIDE
CUISINE
A little background: Although I
got to visit the Bahamas for the second time in just over a year, for Marge this
was her third sojourn, having gone there with her son's
family in December. Thus
she was familiar with a new eatery she discovered during visit number two.
She told me that the food was great.
On this April's visit Marge
leads the way just about one-quarter mile eastward along the shoreline to a
shack-like structure, along with a few
wooded dining tables. As
we draw closer the aromas of something cooking fills the air, and quickly we
reach our destination. Inside this canopy are two men
with aprons and a smoking
grill. All this just about only 100 feet from the lapping waves. One
of the gentlemen is offering to take our orders from a wooden
menu sign mounted next to the
shack.
