Brian--
To your credit, as well as that
of the Fuji W1, I see no cardboarding. It's a matter of personal taste,
but I think that had the view been cropped to remove everything
below
the top line of birds the
framing would have been more pleasing, yielding a psuedo panoramic effect.
The bottom portion might have been saved and posted as an additional
view.
I think that the commentary
might have been more compelling had you omitted mention of ducks and geese,
since that's evident the moment the picture is viewed. It was
a good idea to indicate the
whereabouts of this view, since that's NOT obvious. In addition, you needn't
tell us that "Here is an image," which again is obvious.
Another problem with the
commentary is that you mention a possible flaw (cardboarding) which is best left
to the members to discover and comment on. Why use your own
words to downgrade a view that
is pretty good, and why deprive the members of the enjoyment of
discovering and learning about problems by themselves?
Finally, why bother to mention
what you DIDN'T post (images taken with your mono camera). To me that only
makes sense if you have stereos from that camera to also display.
Some may think that I'm wrong to
critique the commentary, but it's as much part of the view as is your name, and
therefore is fair game for critiquing.

I'd like to thank everyone who
commented on the " '57 T-Bird" post.
Here is an image of some geese, baby geese, and some ducks relaxing at
Lake Waterford Park. (It's good to know at least some different
species can get along together in the same place even if they leave each other
alone).
The image might have a little cardboarding due to
the W1's narrow stereo base for this distance and zooming in for a closer
view. I also took VERY close pictures with the Nikon D600 but of course,
they would be difficult stereo cha chas considering the water movement even
though the birds were fairly still.

IrfanView.
Cheers,
