Yes, I know what you mean Greg.  The only thing we have for comparison is the grain of the wood and the space between the planks, neither of which is a satisfying element for judging size.  The small drops may be of small help but still not very sufficient.

Cheers,
Brian

Another interesting one, Brian. I'm used to small drops and large leaves, so I can't get a proper feel for the scale of things in these!

Thanks for this response also Greg.  I probably would not have posted this next image had it not have been your expression about "variation".  Also, because I was not quite as close to the subject, but I did "arrange" one more small leaf into the composition.
Cheers,
Brian

Very nice as an anaglyph, too. Nice depth to the water drops. Perhaps because the large glob of water has captured my attention so, I personally also like a variation of this with the right leaf cropped out.

After a rain storm the sun reappeared and I came across these small leaves left on my pier with some drops of rain water inside.

Anticipating the disappointment of many who prefer lots of depth, this view fairly accurately depicts the real-life subject.  I was interested in more than depth in this particular subject.
