A rare moment of no visible pedestrians. Maybe it helped that it was July 4. I was walking east on 45th St., about to enter the MetLife building, which leads to Grand Central Terminal. I always admire the old decorative metalwork, wishing someone would restore it to its original condition. Car traffic on Park Avenue is conducted up and around the MetLife building by this elevated roadway.
