The other day shortly before sunset, I spotted this Cicada shell clinging to the bottom of this fungi growth on a tree in my yard. The low angle sun was illuminating the shell and made a nice 2D shot. I took a cha cha and combined the pair for this attached 3D stereo as well.
I wasn't that pleased with the shallow DOF of the tree trunk and background so I extracted it and replaced it with a 2D "texture" image of a tree trunk and painted a light background in the rest of the area. I then cloned some depth into the tree trunk and darkened the bark.
