Saturday, I went to Sandy Point State Park, next to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for the annual Maryland Seafood Festival.
This year they allowed parking on the park property instead of being shuttled in by bus from another nearby area.
Since where I parked was still a long walk to the festival entrance, I began my day by walking toward the Chesapeake Bay shoreline away from the festival just to explore the grounds and also hoping I could get a closer distance to the nearby "Sandy Point Shoal Lighthouse".Along my shoreline travels, I came across this Great Blue Heron. I took many pictures as I gradually got closer and closer so I may post some others later.
