Duke,

Not that it's that important, but I ran across the anaglyph sphere I used as part of the composite.  Even though the depth of the sphere is not very noticeable, it was indeed a 3D anaglyph as well.

Thanks for the response Duke.

The original composite was done a few years ago and I can't remember if the inside sphere was done in 3D or 2D.  It could easily be done in 3D with Chaoscope.  I just can't remember if I took the shortcut or not by using a 2D sphere.  After reading your question I went back to take a closer look and I personally can't tell one way or the other, so I think the illusion is acceptable for me.

I can tell you what I did do with this newer version is that I used Photoshop and drew a circle over the sphere and used the "Filter - Distort - "Spherize" option feature, which is normally used to distort a 2D object into a spherical object.  Even though I distorted it to the maximum 100%, there wasn't much of a noticeable change from the original sphere.

Cheers,
Brian

A majorly cool creation... but I just have one question:  is the sphere in 3D or is it a circle?  I tend to see it more as a flat circle but I imagine it was intended to be a sphere.

Another Chaoscope composite design in 3D stereo enlarged with some 2D Photoshop Paintbrush work added.
