I like the corrected version. I'm not clear what you did in
Photoshop to distort. Did you use "Free Transform" in the Edit
drop down menu?
Thanks.

Hi Mark,
OK, I try to explain with my bad English. I used the tool you
said, but not only and not in one way only.
To reduce this maximum Moon libration stereo base of Duncan
Waldron = too much volume distort (left pict bellow), I first cut
with Photoshop in the red channel a small arc circle to one of
the Moon border (copy of the shadow arc circle form passing on the
moon), than also one cut to the opposite side of the Moon in the
Blue channel than Green channel (cyan). Like if the Libration was
shorter (less part of the back side L&R border appear). Than
to reduce the Moon pot belly already too much distort in the
center I effectively apply on the red channel only the tool Free
Transform, laterally only of course.
Than, I use it too diagonally because the Moon do not turn always
on the same axes (see animated Gif bellow of Libration), so also a
distort diagonal volume needed correcting. The Moon was too slim
diagonally from right top to down left. I process with red/cyan
glasses and stop when I found it nice.
To finish, like the result was not exactly a circle, but a Moon
more slim laterally (because the cut borders L&R), I use the
tool distort (circle capture around first) on all of the channels
in the same time to got again a not too bad circle. But keeping in
mind Moon and Earth are not exactly a perfect circle.
