I prefer the pop-up effect of the first
same as if a bit more hard to see. Not because the pop-up but
because a contrast rivalry density under the bill (white ground
versus brown bird's body).
Only the background with too big positive parallax is the trouble
for children eyes space having not divergence correcting (by
brain).
The shadow, especially in the background is the trouble because
this "help" to indicate too much positive parallax.
I made a very quick shadow elimination (fare to be good) and I
reduce positive parallax by cut of the top of the picture and add
of blur on the background and I mount a bi more pop-up with
Photoshop also to reduce positive parallax (see file)
Thank you for the two pictures very impressive and changing of the
"in depth only" of 98% of the picture we see everywhere and also
in cinema :(
Children fingers cannot "touch" the depth (because the screen),
with the pop-up, like an hologram, yes they can "touch" (their is
also special glove to do)... and this 3D is is much more
impressive for the public.
The future of 3D will be pop-up (like bellow, like the Holodek of
Star Trek) or will not be ! Public don't like the actual 3D cinema
with deph only too much often. They want "3D in there face" like
was old movies.
When I try to sale a 3D conversion with depth only, pub agencies
refuse and say : "This is not real 3D, we want like an hologram".
The customers is the king !
Picture from the 3D French list image-stereo of Pierre Gidon
(Ardèche country side, south of France)
Mixing of the two " maximum pop-up and maximum depth" is possible
if each one no over limit of positive and negative parallax and I
well imagine your pop-up eagle mixing with the nice bridge in
depth of Duke... and why not with a 50% transparency eagle (ghost
of the bridge ;)
