Thank you for your comments, Wojtek and Brian. It is difficult for me to notice deficiencies in my own images after editing for an extended time. This is why I didn't notice the misalignment. ? What I am constantly trying to rectify is two things. The first is straightening images that were mistakenly taken at an angle. I don't find a way of dealing with that in SPM. That is why I resorted to Anabuilder. The second problem is the ghosting issue. Here again I often find Anabuilder helpful with its three options: you either choose desaturation, or the so-called ghostbust module, or the analux option. The only problem is finding the correct setting. But overall, In my experience there are quite a number of cases where the de-ghosted results are good and even lend themselves to increased contrasting and expressiveness without causing new issues. As for the rest I totally agree with your evaluation of SPM which is indeed a superior instrument. ? John V.
