Difficult decision.  Many in this group are of different opinions when it comes to implementing the FW.  I personally prefer reduced ghosting when appropriate, especially harsh contrast ghosting, so my initial preference was the bottom image.  Others in our group have expressed the opinion that at least psychologically, the FW reduces the effect of depth.

I agree, if viewing projected images for an hour, the viewing should be as pleasurable as possible.  After several minutes the average person will start to slouch, tilt or cock their head, etc. which is not good for viewing aligned anaglyphs and was probably the biggest cause for the demise of it in movie theaters.  People in theaters were most likely not instructed about how to view the anaglyph format so did not know why they suffered from nausia, disorientation, and headaches with prolonged viewing.  I hope you include intermission s and instructions for viewing to help prevent this potential hazard in the museum.

Cheers,
Brian

Subject: [Anaglyphs] wich one do you prefer...stereoplate copie

 Hi all,

Wich one do you prefer top or down, see file joint ?
In your opinion, is it necessary to remove big scratch on digital file copies of old stereoplates or not ?
Actually on a 3D French list a man says it is not necessary. Way of facility !
I think some small scratch can stay to show it is a old Pict, but the ones making monoscopic flash (tiring for eyes) are a lot disturbing.
Imagine a slid how of one hours with scratch on each picture.
Thank you for your honest comments.

I have to treat several for museums in France wanted our viewer bellow and 41x101 slide copies.
