In attempting to photo garden birds and squirrels, I've started operating my pairof Canon SL1's remotely, in a two-step process. The first full push of the controlbutton lifts the mirrors, the second full push fires the shutters. Small birds areoften frightened away by the sound of the mirror lock-up, and I don't get a shot. But the squirrels seem to want to figure out where the noise came from -so they appear to be posing for the shot. This squirrel even wanted toclimb up a leg of my tripod.Greg
