Answer...
This was a cha cha and the leaves moved between the two captures, (as did the jet).  To fix the mis-sync, I "cloned" the entire visible tree (and jet with it's contrail), using the clone tool available in SPM from the left chip to the right chip.

I had to clone the entire tree because of movement between captures as well as the Jet contrail.
