The tourist town of
Leavenworth, WA, USA, is located on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain
Range about 120 miles east of Seattle. They claim to offer up a little slice of
Germany: the entire town center is modeled on a Bavarian village, and is the
location for an annual Bavarian Christmas celebration and "one of the largest
Oktoberfest celebrations outside of Munich."
"Die Bergfreunde Fountain"
(I think "die bergfreunde" translates to something like "friends of the
mountains") is located near the entrance to the Festhalle.
