Neat old stereo card/anaglyph. Sounds like a challenge to try to find locations of previous stereos - especially with 150+ years of change.

Speaking of stereo cards, I have been finding the location of old stereos, and reshooting them. This shot is from around 1860 and is along Fordyce Creek in the Sierras. I?ve made several trips to the area trying to locate this shot. What I?ve gotten is close, but not close enough. The rock in the photo that the four guys & dog are near should be findable, but is eluding me. It doesn?t help that trees have regrown in the area, blocking parts of the view.

I print out the anaglyph, and take it with me to view on the spot. I?ll keep trying.
