14th of July is the national holiday in France (Bastille Day) with lots of celebrations taking place on the Champs-Élysées avenue the morning.
This year they kept the normally busy avenue free of traffic for all the afternoon.

The Arc de Triomphe can be see in the distance at the far end of the avenue.
