At the end of the avenue and at right angle is the official tribune for the President, the Prime Minister, high ranking guests,...
Then you have some seating along the sides avenue for more guests (lower rank of course !).
But there is nothing on the rest of the avenue (2km) so the common citizen and tourist is just standing.

14th of July is the national holiday in France (Bastille Day) with lots of celebrations taking place on avenue the morning.
This year they kept the normally busy avenue free of traffic for all the afternoon.
The Arc de Triomphe can be see in the distance at the far end of the avenue.
