Brian,
Thanks for commenting on the two shots of the monument. I forgot to mention it is 30 feet tall, and was produced by sculptor Ron Petty,
an Elected Member of the National Sculpture Society.

Historically, a lot of Seattle's fishing fleet travels to Alaska, including out along the Aleutian chain. The weather can be more severe up there than down here, I think.

675 seems like a lot more than I would have guessed.  Interesting  monument/memorial.  The base looks like it would be interesting also.  Nice anaglyph Greg.  Thanks for the details about the subject.

Cheers,
Brian

Fishermen's Terminal is home to the Fishermen's Memorial, a bronze and stone sculpture memorializing more than 675 local commercial fishermen and women who have lost their lives pursuing their livelihood since the beginning of the 20th century.

A plaque reads:

SEATTLE FISHERMEN'S MEMORIAL

Dedicated on October 8, 1988
as a tribute to the men, women,
their families, and members of the
fishing community who have suffered
the loss of life at sea.

The 2D photo shows the overall view.

This anaglyph shows the bronze fisherman atop the memorial.
