Regarding the "paper clip" problem... I have found that it it much more efficient to include a link, rather than do an attachment. Instead of resizing the image, Flickr resizes the image to fit your screen. You can upload the original to Flickr, and store it there permanently. Lots of other reasons. In my humble opinion, it is just a better way of doing things. ...and it is quicker.
