The route I took is out of sight around the left. The chute on the right side is very similar.

Both routes are rated Class 3 ? no gear required, just hands and feet. If you?re a climber, no big deal. If you?re a hiker like me, it was about the most I wanted to attempt.

This peak has been thumbing its nose at me for years. Every time I?ve been near Lake Tahoe and have seen it from a distance, it has taunted me to explore it. Today we got the chance. Nothing too technical, but challenging enough to get the adrenaline going. Great views from the top.
