One of my favorite alpine Tahoe lakes, Fontanillis is at about 8300 feet. Great trails between this and numerous other named and unnamed lakes. Dick?s Peak is in the distance. We saw one other hiker along here, in stark contrast to the traffic and crowds 2,000 feet below around Lake Tahoe.
