Thanks Ray. I was able to improve on the original capture through regular PS processing.
Just for comparison, here's the original "aligned" capture attached before other processing.

Some fishermen on the pier at Downs Park in Pasadena, Maryland.
One of the guys caught a white perch and I did a quick candid capture.
During processing I noticed how, except for possibly strong contrasts, the composition was kind of cool for multiple depth levels.
I'm not sure just how necessary the FW was or how much good it did on this one but that's what someone using baseball terms might call a, "fielder's choice". If it didn't sufficiently help diminish any harsh ghosting, it at least reduced the deviation.
W1, SPM, PS-CS6, IrfanView.
