 Thanks Larry.  I judge each picture individually as I believe there are exceptions.  I believe many 3D "rules" are really guidelines that once understood, can sometimes be bent depending on circumstances.

Nice shot Brian, I think the out of focus background is acceptable to me, I disagree with the 3D rules that says everything should be in focus from front to back. I think what makes the picture look best to an artist is acceptable.

Foreground and background out of focus.  (sorry), I was shooting mainly for 2D with a 300mm zoom lens.

Cha cha, Nikon D600, PS-CS6, ACR, SPM, IrfanView.
