Today I decided to start better educating myself in flash, which I haven't used much. Our cocker spaniel, Molly, was handy and became my subject for today's experiment. Here is how she spends a rainy day. In these shots she is on 1.) "her" chair, and 2.) her spot on the couch. You can see she is very spoiled! We at least cover the furniture in an attempt to protect it.I used tape to block off all but a very small portion of my W1's flash output, allowing only enough output to trigger an external flash - which was located off to the side and pointed up to bounce much of it's light off the ceiling. In both setups, it was a bit tricky to position the slave flash such that it would simultaneously 1.) sense enough of the W1's "blocked" flash to trigger it, 2.) throw its light in the desired direction, AND 3.) not produce bad flare in the W1's lenses (the W1 seemed very susceptible).W1, external slaved flash, SPM, PSEGreg
