Thanks, Duke. I think that one of my biggest problems is the lack of patience. I always seem to want the project completed sooner than that which is possible. At that point, I become careless. Even the smallest errors are readily visible. Nonetheless, I am determined to surmount this elusive art. I think that taking more frequent breaks, along with technique refinement may help.

Hi, Ray

I'm sorry you are going thought this difficult time.

Although there are areas in your conversion that need attention, the overall scene looks quite impressive.  It's like anything else, the more you do it, the better you will become at it.

It has been a while since I last checked in here. My mother was just discharged from the hospital again with another bout of pneumonia, and she is back at the nursing home. This time, she had a collapsed left lung, and they were not able to bring the lung back to normal. She is now on oxygen 24/7, and she is still coughing badly at times. I have placed her under hospice care. I really do not know where we will go from here. ...Day at a time.
While sitting in the hospital for endless hours, I decided to try to teach myself how to do 2D to 3D conversions on my 11 inch netbook. "Try" is the key word here. I have attempted this several times before, and I was never very good at it. I have always admired the conversion work done by Brian, Larry, Duke, Mike and others. I could never seem to match their level of achievement. Attached in my latest attempt. It is of an aeronautical painting that I found online. I know that there are some problems with this image, so be kind. I'm still trying to learn. I just got tired of working on it and decided to call it quits for this one and go on to another image.
Thanks for looking, guys.
