Thanks for commenting Duke.

The moon between the branches was one of  my first thoughts but I quickly dismissed it as I wanted to keep it away from the center of the image and have it more of an after thought rather than gathering attention away from the rest of the image.  One of the other reasons for trying to keep the moon element subtle was the fact that although the sun was late in the evening, it's usually difficult to see it until a little later.  I used a light gray for the moon as well instead of a starker white.  Even with the gray, the moon appears white in our minds.

I generally use artistic license by creating a little larger than life moon and I did make it smaller than I originally intended but also because I need some room in the corner for deviation and still not touch the branches of the tree.  I wasn't sure if putting it between the two branches would give me enough room for the deviation required to set it back far enough in the image.

Cheers,
Brian

A very pleasant scene.  The addition of the Moon and birds is very nice...but it bothers me just a little to see the Moon up in the corner like that.  I might have put it in between the two main branches (just personal preference).

The evening sun lights up the trunk and branches of a baron tree. Behind it grows shoreline grasses partially hiding the Patapsco River and main waterway entrance into Baltimore's harbor.
