The story:
I attended my Uncle Johnny's funeral services Tuesday at noon. One of his passions was classic automobiles. This classic truck was one of his favorites and I think it was the most recent restoration. Uncle Johnny didn't really get to ride in it like he wanted because of his illness, so it was decided that when he passed, they would carry him in his coffin from the funeral home to the burial site in his truck. The funeral home owner and procession director also elected not to take the shortest route from the town of Galena (where he went to school) to Asbury Cemetery in Millington, MD (the town where he lived), so that we could pass by his home on the way which has a beautiful large pond that is also a habitat for large numbers of wild geese.
Continuation:
In this image the coffin is visible resting in the bed of the truck which is sitting just in front of the Galena Funeral Home moments before preparing to leave for Asbury Cemetery in Millington.
