I think this has to be about the oldest headstone I've seen. In fact I couldn't make out the writing on most of the headstones because of wear from years of weather. I have to admit however that it's pretty old when we're talking the beginning of our nation. This era was the rebellion of thirteen of the North American colonies of Great Britain who declared themselves independent in 1776 as the United States of America.
