During François Mitterrand French King... sorry "president"...a French TV channel create similar Muppet "Bêbête show" than Jim Henson (Muppet show)
but with face of president and gov faces... It was funny.
Piggy the pig was Georges Marchais the communist representative (paid by Moscow) and Kermit the frog was François Mitterand (name of the puppet Kermitterrand).
It was very funny like Kermitterand was alway speaking like he believed to be... a king ;-)
His puppet said all time "Call me God" (Dieu in French)
Sam the eagle of the Muppet-Show become Jacques Chirac (becoming republican president later, Muppet with glasses).
