Thanks for the comment Flash.  I worked a tremendously long time on this one for various reasons... first trying to make the original background work but trust me, this is at least a better alternative than the original.  If I hadn't spent so much time on it already, I might have explored a "real" background replacement, (the thought had occurred to me) but hell, there's only a handful of us still active on this sight anyway.

Cheers,
Brian

Nice extraction, Brian, and good cloning. Kind of far from the camera to show much depth (for me) though. Also, I was thinking, as nice as the background is, it doesn't provide much detail to contrast in depth with the foreground content.

One of the first amusements I encountered when entering this year's Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, Maryland was this figure.  In person, it really did make some people doubt themselves whether it was a real human or an actual statue.

Although this is about as still as I could hope someone could be for a cha cha, I still ended up cloning pretty much the entire subject.

I didn't like how the original background came out, so I extracted it and replaced it with what you see here.

Cha cha, Nikon D600, PS-CS6, ACR, SPM, IrfanView.

Cheers,
Brian
