My granddaughter, Aven, at the Glory Hole Mine. We hiked several hours up a mountain to get to this famous gold mine. A vast quantity of gold was removed from this mine in the late 1800's. It is part of an area that was then known as "The richest square mile on earth" at Central City, Colorado. The area shown is about 30m (100ft) down from the surface and still goes 50m (150ft) deeper below her. This shows only a very small part of the mine.
