Hi Flash and the rest of the group

I'm sorry for You that You cannot see ColorCode, but I don't think it is because of your old eyes. Viewing stereoimages can be very difficult, whatever it is R/C - CC3D - parallel - shutter glasses - crosseye or polarized.

Common for all viewing methods are:

* Blind people cannot see 3D
* One eyed people cannot see 3D
* People where the 2 eyes don't work together cannot see 3D
* People using glasses with a huge difference between the prescription for Left and Right eye cannot see 3D
* People with some differece in visus for Right- and Left eye will have problems or cannot see 3D
* If the stereo base is too big people cannot see 3D
* If there are vertical misalignment people cannot see 3D
* If there are rotations people cannot see 3D
* If there are convergens between the camers people cannot see 3D

For Red/Cyan:

* Very poor colors but easy to view. Best in B/W
* Can be viewed in bright light

For ColorCode 3-D:

* Very good colors
* If one of the eyes are dominating the other, it can give problems with viewing and/or bad colors
* Best result in dim light

TIP #1:

* When viewing ColorCode images: put on your glasses and be patient in 30 - 60 seconds and  don't switch between CC3D and R/C. Your eyes need time to adapt the loose of light, just like when you are sitting in a room where the primary light source are electic light, and you turn it out. At the beginning everything is black, but in some seconds you can see more and more details in the room.

TIP #2

* When you are making CC3D images I will recommand you to work with it like you do with R/C. For many years we have discussed the best way to make R/C images, and many 3-D freeks has developed their own method. Do the same when you are making CC3D images: adjust brightnrs/contrast, levels, color ballance, gamma and whatever you need to get a perfect image.

Hope this will help you to get more out of ColorCode 3D

Claus

PS. ColorCode 3-D has realized a new and better version of their ColorCodeShow, a progran to make CC3D images with. It is very easy to use and you can download a free version here: http://www.colorcode3d.com/  Go to: Consumer Products - ColorCodeShow - and click Free Version

Claus,

Yes, I still prefer the Red/Cyan anaglyph, just
because my older eyes can't resolve the image as well
when they are of such different value (dark/light).
With all its faults, the red/cyan system is really the
only option for me. I don't mind straying from the
"natural" colors, as long as it is comfortable to
view, and the depth is evident.

Regards,

Flash
