Shahrokh, Flash, Anthony - thanks very much for your acknowledgements.
Dariush,
Grazie for your osservazioni. Yes Heffner introduced an additional meaning to the word Plymate - using the innocuous associations to his advantage. I enjoyed your Roman Road with the receding figure at the far point like a punctuation mark at the end of a visual sentence. Your daughter looking out at us underscores the context of the past continually framing the present - which is how I see your main fascination.
While I'm personally drawn to the dynamic real-time rather than still-life and landscape I find images of the historical-present in old stereographs compelling. Maybe one day I can combine these two aspects the way you do.
The past is interested in us too. Here is a pic of a bazzar in Damascus, dated circa 1900-1920. People wanting to do better with the contrasts of the bright sunshine exacerbated by the deteriorations of age to the original print are most welcome to download it from the Library of Congress's digital collection and go to work.
And Marshall, if you're reading this - I liked your gritty candid of the old men with their cigs.
Bye for now.
Nick

Very nice 3D pictures Nick! That sort of anaglyphs that make you feel to be present on the scene! Thank you.
( I thought that playmates work exclusivly for Hugh Hefner....!! )
Ciao Nick,
Dariush
