This little dam was made in the early 1800s to create a water supply for the steam locomotives that were coming through Texas on the new railroad. It is the reason our town is here today. The first train robbery in Texas also occured here (If I remember right it was in the mid 1800s).
Next time I try this I'll use even a slower shutter speed to blur the water more. I bought a Manfrotto (made in Dariush's current homeland!) slide bar to see if I could get some better Cha cha shots with my Nikon. It provides up to a 12 cm base. It is very precise and easy to use but I noticed it tilts a very small amount when you move it from one side to the other. That's an easy fix in SPM though.
