One major problem from last year's flood was the
erosion on the opposite side of the stream that runs through my property.
The water gouged-out
a chunk of the mountain, causing huge boulders to
slide into the water. But that proved somewhat beneficial because many of
the rocks were removed
from the stream and went into the landscape
reconstruction. Two sets of steps were assembled from the
rocks which now allow for greater access to the pond.
The bottom step serves as a platform for fishing, which I never do anyway. But to my
delight, apparently the fish have survived and some seem to be thriving, given
their size!
